How can I get involved with MBEA?

Contact any MBEA Board Member. There are opportunities to serve on subcommittees, help at the state convention and regional events. Your time and talent would be very much appreciated.

I would like to serve on the MBEA Board. What should I do?

Elections are held in the fall for open positions. Announcements are made on the MBEA web site and in MBEA Today for open positions that begin the following January. You will be given an opportunity to apply for open positions at that time or contact any board member to express your interest.

How many regions are there in Michigan?

There are five geographic regions in the state. One consists of the entire Upper Peninsula and four divide the Lower Peninsula. Each region has a regional representative that serves on the MBEA Board. Click on the "Regional News" page for more information.

What is my region? What if I live in one region but work in another?

Your region is the one in which you work. Click on the "Regional News" page for more information.

How much are MBEA dues?

The MBEA dues are $35.00 for a professional membership and $15.00 for students and retired educators. Click here for the membership form.

What is the membership year?


The membership year will reflect our fiscal year, which is January 1 to December 31.

What is NBEA?

The National Business Education Association (NBEA) is the nation's largest professional organization devoted exclusively to serving individuals and groups engaged in instruction, administration, research, and dissemination of information for and about business.

What is NCBEA?

North Central Business Education Association (NCBEA) is comprised of National Business Education Association Members (NBEA) from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

What is ISBE?

There are two organizations that work under the ISBE acronym. The first is the International Society for Business Education and the second is Instructional Strategies for Business Education.
